O’Neill’s “Life” - a new film with Jordy Smith, Cory Lopez, Ian Walsh, John John Florence and others - hit the east coast this week with Cory Lopez, Alek Parker and the O ‘Neill to sign autographs and give Swag. They will be in foreign banks Tuesday, August 5 O’Neill tour bus to navigate and swing from local businesses. (Surf session the date and venue to be determined.) On August 6, the team will be in Virginia Beach for a surf session at the 1st Street dam from 9 to 11 hours, where once again the session will be filmed, edited the first tonight and then before the main star, “Life”, which will take place at Chicho on 29 Street at 7 pm (all ages) and 9 pm (21 and older). Free to the public, but please show as early as seats are limited. O’Neill tons of autographs and valuables will also be distributed. And on August 7, O’Neill meet the team at 37th Street in OCMD to 5pm for a surf, followed by an 8 pm premiere of “La Vie” castle in the sand.
Do Y’all ready to rock? South Carolina’s largest weekend surf - The fifth Annual Conference SC Governor’s Cup (20th championship annual State) - August 9-10 hole up in Folly Beach. Over 250 competitors from Florida to Virginia battle will be in 28 different divisions in an attempt to become the next State of South Carolina Surf Champion. This year, the product is underway to support healing Surfer’s Day Camp sponsored by CDC and the ESA on August 12 at Holiday Inn. It all begins with a party at the beach Folly Beach Holiday Inn on Saturday at 6:30 pm Free admission for competitors and only $ 6 for friends and family. Shredder and liquid is once again sponsoring the Push ‘n Surf Division novices.
On August 6, Charleston Surfriderwill Snapper Jack meet in Folly Beach, SC.
On August 9, VB host the first event of a Rolls life on the island of Little Pier in Sandbridge of 8:00-2:00. Accident athletes from around the country gather for a day of surfing. We hope that participants from as far away as Wilmington, North Carolina and New Jersey. The organizers are looking for participants with spinal cord injuries and volunteers.
